“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” – Carl Rogers
As social beings, we have an innate tendency to connect. From the bond we develop with our caregivers in infancy to the deep relationships we forge with friends, family, and partners we choose, our lives are shaped by the quality of these connections.
Life is not a static state we reach and hold on to. It is an ongoing journey of deepening connections and cultivating bonds—not only within our close relationships. It also includes the wider web of the human society we live in, within which we discover the common threads that unite us all: empathy and an understanding of our shared humanity. Through this process, we realize that we are not alone. Throughout our journey, we encounter people very different from ourselves, who leave indelible marks on our hearts and minds. These connections give us a sense of belonging, they shape us, and they help us grow. This personal growth follows us throughout our lives—continuous and enriched through our experiences and the inevitable changes we face.
Unfortunately—or perhaps fortunately—there is no instruction manual for life. We write our own story through our relationships, through successes and failures, sorrows and joys, setting goals and striving to achieve them, often experimenting along the way. And that is how we move forward. There are no one-way paths; change is always possible as our needs, experiences, perceptions, and desires evolve. Psychotherapy can meaningfully help us better manage life’s challenges and find our way.
I am a Mental Health Counsellor specializing in integrative psychotherapy. I graduated from the University of East London with a Master’s degree (MSc) in Psychology, Counselling, and Psychotherapy, and I am a member of the Hellenic Counselling Society. Based on my training in integrative psychotherapy, I address issues of mental health by approaching each individual according to their unique traits and characteristics. My goal is to help people improve their psychological well-being and strengthen their personal growth.
