Gestalt Therapy
“When the body speaks, the soul finds words.”
Gestalt therapy is an experiential approach that focuses on awareness of the 'here and now.' It is based on the idea that every aspect of our existence—thought, emotion, and body—is interconnected and expresses our personal story.
The body holds a particularly important place in the process. Often, our tensions, postures, and movements reveal feelings or needs that have not found a way to be expressed in words. In the therapeutic relationship, through observation, breathing, and small experiential experiments, the individual is invited to give space to these bodily 'voices,' recognize them, and connect them with their emotional experience.
In this way, Gestalt helps individuals gain deeper contact with themselves, integrate their physical and emotional experiences, and move towards greater authenticity and freedom in their lives.
Connection with the body and self: Often, the body 'speaks' before we do—through tensions, postures, and sensations that hide feelings and needs. Gestalt therapy invites you to stand in the 'here and now,' listen to these signals, and discover what they have to tell you. Through this process, greater contact with the self, authenticity, and freedom in daily life are created.
