Group Psychotherapy

Group psychotherapy (group therapy), like individual therapy, aims to help people who want to improve their ability to face life's difficulties and problems more effectively.

The characteristic of group psychotherapy is that the session takes place with an entire group of people and one or two coordinators-psychotherapists, as opposed to the individual session which includes the client and their therapist. The very existence of the group and the opportunity to explore one's difficulties through it places special emphasis on interpersonal interactions and the problems that arise in relationships. Founded on the strength each of us gains when we belong to a group and the benefits of interpersonal interaction, it has developed over many decades as one of the main methods of psychotherapy. Through the group, we learn to share our problems and concerns, to better understand the reasons we face certain situations and to manage them successfully, and we learn together with others in a protected environment with the help of specialists.
