Clinical Supervision

Supervision is a shared journey for the supervisor and supervisee, filled with many challenges, difficulties, and developments. In this journey, the supervisor's training may play a dominant role, but many factors contribute to enabling the supervisee to be supported and to provide their service as a counselor or psychotherapist. The purpose of supervision is for the supervisee to understand the nature of counseling and psychotherapy, explore their possibilities and abilities, and through their own introspection, learn to perceive the challenges and risks of their position.

Roots Wellness Center provides clinical supervision to students and mental health professionals in both Greek and English, aiming to utilize and develop each individual's knowledge and skills. Based on the professional code of ethics, we offer training and guidance services, making use of all the unique characteristics of each supervisee.

Specifically, our supervision contributes to:

  • learning how to take case history
  • exploring and managing therapeutic challenges
  • creating and supporting the therapeutic relationship
  • developing a personal style as a counselor-psychotherapist
  • improving therapeutic intervention skills
  • managing difficulties during the psychotherapeutic process
  • supporting and guiding the therapist's professional goals
  • learning the code of ethics.

Supervision sessions are conducted according to the supervisee's preference, either individually or in groups, in safe and pleasant spaces, following the integrative psychotherapy approach and providing appropriate educational material. Additionally, our team regularly organizes seminars and educational groups that are open to everyone.
